The Doctors and Staff would like to wish our patients a very Happy & Healthy New Year and thank all of those who have sent in lovely cards and gifts during the holiday period, they have all been very much appreciated.

Christmas Jumper Day - December 2018  - our annual collection this year raised £126.15 which we have passed on to the Dementia Cafe to help to continue with this service - thank you to all who contributed, very much appreciated.

Consultations are by appointment and can be booked over the telephone or in person at the surgery. Urgent cases will always be seen on the day, please call 01562 777239. A doctor is on call at all times.

A standard GP appointment is 10 minutes. If you think that your problem may take an unusually long time, please inform our Reception Staff so that allowances can be made for this. If more than one family member needs to be seen please book an appointment for each.

Avoid waiting until we open or waiting on the phone, register for online appointments and repeat prescriptions.

Urgent Appointments When you call the Receptionists will on behalf of the doctors ask a few questions regarding the nature of the urgency. In the case of extreme medical emergency e.g. chest pain, severe shortness of breath, acute abdominal pain, severe bleeding, please dial 999. Please consider whether your request for an urgent appointment is a medical urgency or it could wait until the following day.

Telephone Advice

You can request a telephone call from a GP or Practice Nurse, which will normally be made the same day. We advise that the GP or Practice Nurse will only ring once on the number that you provide, so please ensure that we have your current contact number and you are available (we will try give you an indication of the kind of the time the call will be returned - normally after the end of morning surgery)

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

1 October 2018 - You are now able able to book an Improved Access appointment to see a local clinician in the evening Monday to Friday, or on Saturday and Sunday at locations across Wyre Forest.  GP practices are working together to provide Improved Access appointments to our patients. If you want to book one of these appointments, you may see a different GP or the appointment may be at a different location or practice than you are used to. Also, some of these appointments will be telephone only.
These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during usual opening hours – when calling, please ask for an Improved Access appointment and our receptionist will help you book.
